04.2009 - MONTHLY UPDATE

Okay, I am finally getting around to the April Monthly Update. Sheesh, I have been busy to say the least; however, we have been having fun and enjoying the weather, as much as possible.

I finally got video of Jessica riding her trike, check it out below. She totally has her Dad’s dare devil personality. As she found she could push her trike backwards toward the side’s of the road take her feet off and ride down. However, I was much too anxious about her falling so there is no video going backwards. But as I was filming she tried to go forward with no hands or feet. Yeah, I only wonder how much of my life will be spent in an emergency room.

I attempted to do a play date on a Saturday at Liberty Park, need less to say I was late. But when we got there no one had showed up yet either. So we ventured out amongst the entire park, just about. Later to find out that one of the other moms, Christan, was also running late. So Jessica missed even playing and having fun with Sam. But, we had fun never the less and if life ever slows down perhaps we will try it again at a much smaller park.

Some funny things she was doing in April are:
We were getting ready for bed one night and Jesse started sneezing. Jessica hurriedly left the room and then reappeared with a tissue for her dad. Then one night Jesse and I were cleaning up the house a bit, Jesse was vacuuming and all of a sudden Jessica comes running down the hall with her little vacuum and proceeded right behind dad. I guess she was catchin what he might have missed. It is so funny, we laugh so much because of Jessica and the little things she does as she grows and learns it really has been so great.

This one weekend night she decided she wanted to sleep on the couch, and since it was the weekend I thought what the heck. So she got her pillow and blanket and crashed on the couch. Well typically Boston sleeps on his doggie bed in our room; however, once he realized Jessica was in the living room he went out and laid down next right next to her on the floor and he slept there all night next to her. He really does love her, I now have proof.

Somewhere she has picked up the “no, mine”. As Jesse and I share everything with her we do not ever say this. I guess it is part of being two; however, as other things have come and go this has slowly decreased. So perhaps it will also be gone soon.
